While walking through the empty hallways of her college dorm, a young woman is curiously drawn to a reverberating sound she thinks is created by a failed light source in a friends room. A passionate college student of black studies, this young woman is discovering her true self yet unaware of the infinite potential within her.
Her name is Rania.
Her name is Rania.
Rania approaches a sexualized graphic poster hanging on the room’s wall where the sound appears to be coming from. Frustrated and curious, she slowly peels the poster away to reveal the source of the sound.
What she doesn't know is that the sound is coming from NOD (Nemorous Oasis Device), a digital time machine scanning device designed to reveal the fleeting truth of our society while uncovering a vision of one's future self to those who interact with it. The device's branding is inspired by the backwards spelling of the name of a backwards United States leader. NOD is designed to help undo all the damage caused by this leader.
Rania gazes into the light omitting from the wall and is scanned by NOD. She is confronted by a wave of emotions and the reality that 2020 is an inauspicious year — a year whose name, ironically, is shared with what most associate with perfect vision: 20/20.

NOD, scanning Rania
From the isolation and brief contemplation of her new state of being, Rania begins to see the world differently. Yet there is something very familiar about what she experiences.
NOD reveals the corruption of the United States media and how the country's leader is manipulating it to the detriment of the citizens who occupy the country. Rania begins to feel the vast amount of hurt, pain, and inequality felt by all people who are drawn to nurture the planet back to health.
Through the eyes of those bold enough to live their true selves and unite for what matters, Rania begins to realize who she is while hearing a cry for help, and suddenly realizes that the cry is not coming from others, but from within herself. Rania's cry turns into a scream.
Totally alone and staring at a wall in a dark room, Rania becomes the reflection of all — a mirror to the black and to the white, to the man and to the woman, to the protestor and to the science, to the animals and to the plants, to the water and to the air, to the gay, straight, and the trans, to the young and to the old, to the leader-seekers and to the leader-fails, to the hate and to the love. Through the fear and the pain she feels, Rania is also confronted by beauty, art, truth, and humanity – and she is reminded of hope.
Then, from the lonely corner of a dark room, an awareness is revealed to Rania through the visions of NOD and she now understands why they are familiar. The visions are not simply reflections of 2020, but they are also a view into her future, and it is there where she sees herself and realizes that she is mother earth herself.
She is God.
